Shangri-La Presents: Huishan Zhang, Award-winning Fashion Designer

When we contemplate the world's great fashion capitals, Qingdao would be an unlikely addition to Paris, London, Milan. Nevertheless it's here that you'll find the atelier of Huishan Zhang, one of a handful of young Chinese designers challenging fashion’s status quo. Following a degree at the prestigious Central St Martin's and a Paris internship with Dior, offers were made to establish his eponymous label in Europe - but Huishan was resolute in his desire to follow his heart; and to showcase work of artisans of his home city.
